A beautifully situated town near the Comeragh Mountains & Nire Valley Drives.

This is the birthplace of Tyrone Power, great grandfather of the famous Hollywood star of the same name.

Tadhg Gaelach O' Suilleabhain and Donacha Rua MacConmara, two renowned Gaelic poets of the 18th century, also lived here.
