Clashmore

Brightly coloured houses and pleasantly situated on the Creagagh River, this quiet town is on the lovely Gaeltacht & Galltacht Drive.

The old Protestant church marks the site of a monastery founded by Mochua, a disciple of St. Carthage of Lismore.

The Kilmaloo Walk incorporates the ruin of 10th century Heeny Castle, old ice houses and a still, built by the earl of Huntington in the 18th century.
