Cheekpoint
A
pleasant fishing village, set on a headland above the confluence of the
rivers Suir and the twin Rivers Barrow and Nore. The area has a long and
rich maritime history.
Above
the village is Faithlegg Forest, where the walker enjoys wonderful
panoramas over the Suir Estuary and nearby Faithlegg Golf Club.
The
views and local sea food restuarants and pubs en route make a trip to
this village a must.
Heritage
Trail Walking Holidays have their headquarters here. They conduct
guided walks in Waterford and the south-east.
Cheekpoint is on the East Waterford Gaultier Coast
Drive.
