beautiful scenery in Waterford and Nire Valley Failte, the local
tourism association, have a series of published walks and run an annual
Comeragh Mountain Walking Festival. Michael Desmond conducts
guided walks through the surrounding hills.
Access
to the East Munster Way long distance
walking route can be gained at Fourmilewater, a few kms north-west of
Ballymacarbry. The village is on the Comeragh Mountain
Drive.
